Over the last few months there we have been discussing how we can make the Heatons a more Dementia friendly place. At recent meetings we have had sessions on what Dementia is and how we as a community can help people affected by the condition.

The Four Heatons Traders Association has made a commitment to become dementia friendly over the coming months and to this end we have been working with Jason Davis-D’Cruz representing Dementia Friends (an Alzheimer’s Society initiative). Jason has kindly arranged for some free information sessions where you and your staff can find out more.

The sessions will be held at Village Point on the following Wednesdays at 7pm and will last around 45 minutes.

  • September – 7th, 14th and 21st.
  • October – 5th, 12th and 19th.
  • November – 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd.

There are 10 places per sessions and these can be booked using our online booking form – Places are booked on a first come, first served basis and there are enough for everyone.

If you have any questions or require more information, please contact Jason Davis-D’Cruz on 07707 323173. Thank you for taking the time to become dementia friendly, you’re helping to make a difference.
