13 days - A diary clash - sugarlumps

Just had a phone call, the Gamebeast is not coming, having checked their diaries, they had the date wrong, nearly turned up on the Monday!

Having checked, it appears on Sunday 8th July, they are booked for some FIFA event. So once again in Manchester the footie takes precedence.  Never mind, bring your Gameboys & sit in a circle. (OK, I am sure things have moved on since my kids had Gameboys, but you know what I mean). Anyway, at least the residents of Buckingham Road can stop looking worried.

The music will be there, the food is arranged, even a veggie option this year. More about the food later & Trish has excelled herself with Fun Stalls.

For the first time, we are even having a baking competition, very Village Fete & W.I. (Don't knock it, my daughter is in the W.I. & so far the one thing she has not done is make jam.) For further details go to the 2012 Summer Festival page & follow the link.  Emma is keeping us all in the dark about who will judge it.  Watch this space.

Watch out for the leaflets through your doors, most of Heaton Moor should have had them & we have started on Heaton Chapel; Heaton Norris & Mersey should be following over the next week.  There are an awful lot of houses in the Heatons & not that many of us to get round, so we are hoping to use the legs of some of the young people of the Heatons, negotiations are ongoing as we speak.

Last year we gave away vouchers on the day which entitled you to all sorts of offers from 4HTA members.  We are doing the same this year, so whilst you are wandering round the Park, look out for them, if someone gives you a sheet of paper, don't just throw it away, it will be full of money off & other offers for you to use after the day.  We really want you to Shop Local & this is our way of helping.

Right back to making lists now.
